Lillian turned 7 this year and instead of having a birthday party she requested a family trip to Asheville-of course we obliged! The weather was freezing cold, but we had a blast. We tried snow tubing for the first time at a place called Moonshine Mountain-it was as terrible as it sounds! The girls and I did one run and then called it quits, way too fast for us! Evan did manage to get a second run in-way too cold for him! We enjoyed two sushi dinners while we were away and had a great time seeing the sites of downtown Asheville.
Since last birthday, Lillian has lost her first tooth (4 to be exact), is reading chapter books with ease, she is crushing her swim times (Lillian is the fastest 6U girl in backstroke for her swim league)! making beautiful art creations-her favorite art project right now is writing her own stories and then illustrating them (she might have a future in this), writing poems for the whole family:
This one was called Butterfly, which she wrote for Merritt to make her feel better:
Butterfly, Butterfly go to bed
and dream of roses in your head,
Sleep tonight little butterfly,
sleep tight.
Lillian is 51 lbs and 49 3/4 inches!
Sushi dinner in Asheville, and yes, we ate it all!
My sweet, sweet girls!
